Palming Relaxation
About This Exercise
Palming is a relaxation technique that uses the warmth from your hands to soothe tired eyes. This practice can reduce eye strain, relieve tension, and provide a calming break during your day.
Instructions
1
Warm your hands
Rub your palms together vigorously for 10-15 seconds until they feel warm.
2
Close your eyes
Gently close your eyes and take a deep breath to relax.
3
Cup your palms
Place your cupped palms over your closed eyes without applying pressure. Your fingers should rest on your forehead.
4
Block out light
Ensure no light enters through gaps between your fingers. You should see complete darkness.
5
Relax and breathe
Stay in this position for 3-5 minutes. Breathe deeply and let your eyes completely relax in the darkness and warmth.
6
Slowly open
Remove your hands and slowly open your eyes, allowing them to adjust to the light gradually.
